A Partner at Connell & Connell, Anne joined the firm in 1981 having graduated from Edinburgh University. She qualified as a solicitor in 1983 and has been a Partner since 1984. Experienced in all aspects of private client work, Anne primarily deals with house purchases and sales, wills, executries, tax planning, powers of attorney and advice for the elderly. She has particular expertise in advising families who have a member with a disability. In addition, Anne deals with the purchase, sale and leasing of small commercial properties.

Andrew has extensive knowledge and experience in buying and selling residential properties and is also involved in the buying, selling and leasing of commercial property. Lesley joined Connell & Connell as a partner in August 2015. She has experience in a broad range of private client work including, Wills, Powers of Attorney, succession, asset protection, setting up and managing trusts and inheritance tax planning. Lesley also provides practical and technical advice and support to families through what can be a difficult and distressing time following the death of a loved one. Lesley graduated in 1990. Richard joined Connell & Connell as a Partner on 1st April 2020. He has long years of experience in dealing with private client matters for his clients and his area of work include Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration, Asset Protection, the setting up and managing Trust arrangements, and Inheritance Tax planning.
Richard is a qualified Scottish Law Accountant (“SLA”) and has been a member of the Society of Law Accountants in Scotland (“SOLAS”) for more than 30 years. He was President of the Edinburgh Branch of SOLAS for many years and is a SOLAS Past President.
Having a keen interest in charity law, Richard holds a Trustee position with John Watson’s Trust (administered by the WS Society) and Families Outside. He also is the Secretary and Treasurer of The James & Grace Anderson Trust. This is a charity that helps to fund research into a cure for cerebral palsy and alleviate the suffering of children and adults who live with this illness on a daily basis.

Gordon has been a private client solicitor in practice since qualifying in 1981 and has considerable experience in the purchase and sale of residential property, the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney and the care of the elderly.
Formerly a senior partner in the firms of Garden Haig and Gillespie Macandrew till 2015 he was until this year a senior tutor in conveyancing in the Law Faculty Diploma at Edinburgh University for 30 years.
